- Resistances mounted on ground are provided with
bolted inter grid connection to facilitate replacement
of individual grid
- Terminals are provided at bottom of resistance unit
at a suitable height to facilitate termination of
external cables
- Sufficient number of tapping is provided for adjustment
of resistance value at site
- All resistance grids are tested for current rating
and ohmic value and standardized. Hence, the spares
supplied are replaceable with original grids
- Sufficient electrical clearance (more than specified
in IS) is maintained between resistance elements and
frame
- In multitier formation of resistance banks, grids
are derated from normal rating to take care of extra
heating
